A unit trust is an investment fund that pools contributions from multiple investors to achieve shared investment objectives. The combined funds are invested in a diversified portfolio of financial instruments to generate returns. These include but are not limited to bank deposits, corporate debt, shares and government securities.

Each investor receives units in exchange for their contributions and returns are distributed based on the unit value and the number of units owned.

Your best-suited fund will depend on your appetite for risk and current financial status. For example, a high-risk investor may prefer investing in the stock market while an investor with a low risk appetite is likely to opt for a fixed income unit trust.

You can view your investment portfolio, earnings and transaction history online, at any time, by logging into the client portal on our website.

You will also receive monthly statements via e-mail at the beginning of each month.

Our funds are regulated by the SEC and Deutsche Bank of Sri Lanka acts as the trustee and custodian, ensuring compliance with SEC guidelines. Yes, you can invest in multiple LYNEAR funds simultaneously.

Yes, you can withdraw from one, more or all your funds at LYNEAR, at any time. Please note that some funds incur a penalty fee if you withdraw within 12 months of your investment.

To ensure unit creation takes place efficiently, please share the fund transfer receipt via email immediately to [email protected] email address.

Units will be created using the same day price for funds received before 12 noon. If funds are received after 12 noon the following working days, the unit price will be assigned.

Unit redemptions or fund withdrawals can be informed to us via email from the system registered email address. Instructions received before 12 noon be processed using the same day unit price, and instructions received after 12 noon will be processed using the following working days unit price. However, any redemption requests equaling or exceeding 3% of the fund value will be processed as per the KIID. Please note that we cannot remit funds to third-party bank accounts.

You will receive an email from [email protected] confirming the receipt of funds and purchase of your investment units.

You can directly transfer funds to the appropriate collection account or hand over a cheque. Please note that we do not accept cash.
